View Full Version : [kubuntu] KDE window behavior (maximize)

KDE 4.* editions have a function that causes any window to be maximized if it is pushed to the top of the screen, but there seems to be nothing in the system settings to control it.

In my case I wish to disable this "feature", so if anyone knows how, please post a reply.

Thanks,

I found that feature irritating as well. Shut it off with ....

Settings -> System Settings -> Workspace Appearance -> Window Behavior -> Screen Edges

In the "Window Management" box, uncheck "Maximize windows by dragging them to the top of the screen" and Apply.

ah a kindred spirit gmargo! :)

I have tabs in system settings > > window behavior labelled focus/titlebar actions/window actions/moving and advanced.

under moving there are "snap" settings that seem related, but nothing that matches what you're suggesting.

Hi,
KDE tends to move some settings around with every other KDE release.
In KDE 4.6 the settings you are looking for is at:
System Settings > Workspace Behavior > Screen Edges.
This might apply to KDE 4.5 or greater too.
Hope this helps.

Move around is right... OK, on my version it is system settings > DESKTOP > screen edges > window management
