extract archives in the folder

Hi,

Im am totally new to Linux and I tried to install the flash player in Firefox, but when I try to copy libflashplayer.so to the folder user/lib/firefox/plugins it wont let me and get the message;

You don't have the right permissions to extract archives in the folder

anyone knows how to solve this?

sounds like you are trying to install flash manually.

Have a read of this (http://ubuntuforums.org/showthread.php?t=1491268) first post - it will help you install flash correctly.
