Hello, I'm somewhat new to this community and though someone here might be able to assist me.

I have a Wester Digital 1TB external HDD, and Several partitions on it.

I have attempted to install Maverick Meerkat Desktop Edition to my HDD via a live cd.

However, I was unable to identify which partition was which.

I then attempted to install the OS to my HDD using UNetBootin, and the USB disk creator.

But even though they both installed to the HDD fine, but neither booted. (Via BIOS and choosing my HDD).

So my questions are,:

1. How can I either identify my HDD easier on the install on the live CD?

2. How can I install without the CD?

3. Can I even Install and boot from my HDD?

Thanks (Hopefully) in advance!
