Here's the issue; I have just built a custom 64-bit computer and I have a live disc of the most up to date version of Ubuntu, but when I attempt to install it, it always freezes right after I click the install option. Or whenever I try to just run from the CD. So, I installed a Windows OS and I installed Ubuntu through the .exe installation that is available and it did install, but now whenever I try to boot linux the system freezes again. Any idea why Ubuntu is giving me such a hard time?

Could be the graphics card. What do you have in it.

Have you also checked the .iso file and the CD you burned?
