Reinstall / Install

My UBUNTU 10.10 installed in a separate partation. I have installed so many utility from net.

Now, if I try to install or update any of new or installed package, it gives an Authentication error. The symbol of "KEY" at right left top bar appears.

I wants to install it again or repair installation. I don't have much faster net connection to upgrade from net. i use mobile to connect and install some require packages.

Make sure the password you type is correct. Make sure capslock is off. Other then that, there isn't much you can do, apart from trying to reset your password from the recovery mode.

The problem is not a password. Password given by me are correct. The system gives and error of "extra Authentication required." There after nothing can happen.

I have upgraded from UBUNTU 10.10 to UBUNTU 11.04. Now problem seems to be disappeared...
