install Ubuntu 10.10 from a usb flash drive stalls

I am trying to install Ubuntu 10.10 from a usb flash drive to my lap top fujitsu siemens esprimo
Ubuntu runs in trial mode and am impressed with this the problem is when i go to install it gets to the second screen preparing to install Ubuntu and it stalls have looked in posts but cant find anything
