Can't install applications from software center

Need help installing applications from software center. Recently, software center has been showing an error and can't install any applications through it. Here is screen shot of that error.

Can you install the same packages through Synaptic?

Good. Then if you afterwards run sudo apt-get upgrade your system will be updated.

Together with Synaptic these two commands (and sudo apt-get clean for cleaning up) are all that is needed for package management.


Software Centre is slow and buggy. Best is to forget about this one.

Software Center is working well again. Is it due to that command??

Maybe. It is possible that you have installed a bug fix for Software Centre in the process.
