Hello
A quick question for linux hardware gurus
I am familiar with the hardware but not the linux binaries
1) If the new and old hardware use the same basic binary (e.g. 32-bit x86) do I need to reinstall?
2) How do I get a list of which of the packages/files are compiled for which architecture?
3) If I will have to reinstall is there a quick way to do an over the top upgrade?
It's 10.04
I understand i will need to replace the drivers.
Thanks all, in advance.
[edit]: PS obviously I am talking about new motherboard and cpu, not a sound card!
