I have upgrade a custom built PC from 10.04 to 10.10 and upon first boot and all boots after that I receive a fatal error message about a certain file not being found. Yet Ubuntu then proceeds to boot as normal and for a while it worked just fine, but here's my problem: the mouse and keyboard stopped working just out of the blue one day. They fail to be recognized by the OS and don't even work in bios. Sounds like a driver problem to me yet they worked just fine before? To boot I tried to wipe the drive and do a fresh install with Ubuntu 10.10 yet the keyboard isn't reconized in Darik's Boot and Nuke. Is this an issue with the motherboard? I've tried several keyboards and mice but even the USB ones don't work. Any help or information about what may have gone wrong would be great!
