I have created a software raid using the gnome disk utility (palimpsest)
Ubuntu 10.10 does not auto assemble it on boot up, how do I fix this?
I didn't see a way to do it with the uility so looking at mdadm
mdadm --assemble --scan doesn't work
if i put
array dev/md0 dev/sdb1,dev/sdc1
into mdadm conf it SOMETIMES assembles (cant remember the exact syntax of that)
mdadm.conf says it is auto-created, so I'm not sure editing it will be permanent
The partitions are indeed marked as linux raid autodetect
