Hi, does the new Ubuntu release have the latests mono release?
When will mono be updated?

Can someone give me a procedure to install the latest mono without breaking anything? The mono website refers me back to Ubuntu.

I have Ubuntu on my laptop and the latest VM from mono on windows (OpenSuse) and I would like to take things along on a mem stick to work on the laptop.

Hope all this made sense. ty

No, Natty is unlikely to have the latest Mono. And there are no scripts which work well, currently. Nothing'll happen until after Squeeze releases, which is too late to feasibly make the jump to 2.8+ for Natty.

I'm considering a new way to make non-distro Mono releases available, as packages, for the enthusiastic, in a clean & seamless way which doesn't break the system. Considering. It might still break things for a few people. No warranty, etc etc etc. If I hear enough demand through the medium of "the donations page on badgerports.org" I'll see what I can do.
