View Full Version : [ubuntu] 9.04 - File Browser closes when I try to display remote server

I'm using Ubuntu 9.04. I used to be able to go to Places --> Connect to Server... and select ssh connection and login to another computer on the network, and view the files on the other computer via the File Browser GUI.
Recently, however, the File Browser started immediately closing whenever I logged in to the remote computer. I am still connected to the remote computer, because I can reopen File Browser and view my local files, and it shows me connected to the remote computer, but when I try to view the files on the remote, it immediately closes all File Browser windows - including the ones that are browsing only local files.

I see in my syslog that I'm getting a nautilus kernel fault when it happens:

kernel: [ 2032.575323] nautilus[3209]: segfault at 5 ip b70d0cab sp bf97e840 error 4 in libglib-2.0.so.0.2400.0[b7077000+c8000]

I saw an earlier thread that said this was fixed by removing "UbuntuOne", but I do not have UbuntuOne installed.

What else could / would be causing this, and how can I fix it? It just started happening recently; I haven't changed anything. Thanks.

bumping because I originally put this in the wrong forum.
