can't install UBUNTO 10.10 on laptop

i can't install ubunto 10.10 on my toshiba satellite c655 laptop which run on windows 7 x64bit
did any of you faced that problem before??

What happens when you try to install it? Can you run the live cd desktop ok?

yes without installing it worked fine

What is happening when you try to install it? Does it fail at a particular point? Have you checked the MD5SUM of the downloaded iso?

When runing the live cd, did you check the cd for errors?

Also, as it's a Toshiba, it may be worth finding out if there is a bios update for your machine. This can solve some problems.
