I'm trying to put Ubuntu 10.10 on my HP Compaq nx9010. I burned the image file (the iso) onto the disk correctly, but when I boot from it on the Compaq it just shows a line of copyright information for LINUX. I asked about this yesterday, but was not able to fix it.
If I can't get any answers, I may reinstall 8.04 and use thee update manager that I've heard of.
