View Full Version : [lubuntu] lubuntu icons on desktop bug

hi i have installd lubuntu side to my gnome i like it i have a issue thoe it seams that some of the icons r hideing beyond the screen resolution there for i dont see them all in the screen

i tried messing with the screen margins in the openbox configuration i can see all the icons but then i cant see windows in full view

please help thanks

No bug,when you boot into Lubuntu the desktop is now managed by pcmanfm.
No drag/drop,gnome shortcut/launchers won't appear on Lubuntu desktop. Programs in gnome menu won't all appear in lxpanel menu.
No nice easy gui's for making shortcut/launchers, menus in Lubuntu yet.
Smaller,lighter distros require more knowledge of the user for setup and customization.
Lubuntu eats up less CPU and memory because of it's reduced functionality.
If you want these features and your hardware is robust enough to run Ubuntu/Gnome to your satisfaction your going to be disappointed in Lubuntu/LXDE.

that cant be true coz some icons r showing and when i add a icon i see one more icon that was hideing yet now the new icon is missing

Have you tried changing your screen resolution? I'm not even sure what your problem is TBH, but when you put Lubuntu with Gnome there's bound to be problems unfortunately.
