I just finished installing a soft raid (mdadm) with LVM for my Ubuntu installation, and fixing grub to boot Windows 7 also. I had planned on using some leftover space to do a soft mirror or stripe on Windows, but when I tried to activate it I was given a prompt asking if I wanted to convert to Dynamic Disks.
I've googled it, and it seems like once it's converted, it's bad news trying to get back. I wanted to know if converting to Dynamic Disk will destroy the soft raided Ubuntu partitions I have on the disk. These are not the drives that contain grub, but again, they do hold part of soft raid 5.
Thanks
