Did you check the MD5SUM of the downloaded iso file?

If the md5sum is the problem, use a torrent client to download next time. They all check the iso as it is downloaded.

I dont understand ... what is md5sum ?
I downloaded the iso images from the ubuntu website, why would there be an error on it ? or do you mean it happens while you download the file ?

That's exactly what we mean! Use a torrent.

Let me guess; you have a rather large ( TB+ ) hard drive? Wait. It reads 5% until it is done formatting the drive, which takes 15 or more minutes for a drive that big. This will be improved in Natty.
