I want to install ubuntu 10.10 on a desktop that will use my tv as a screen, the problem is that during installation I can not see the entire screen, the parts where I click to go to the next screen is not visible.
I dont have a normal desktop screen, I use a laptop
I have tried changing the vga ratio on my tv but it dont make a difference.
The only way to fix is is from ubuntu itself once its installed
I read I can use a text based installer called Alternative installer
my question is : once its installed is there any difference between the normal installer and the alternative ?
