View Full Version : [SOLVED] Intel 525MW does not shut down properly

I installed ubuntu 10.10 x64 on my new Intel D 525 MW motherboard on a SATA harddrive. The installation worked fine. But when the optcal drive pushed out the install cd I had to shut down the machine by pressing the Hardware Button 5secs to get the system shut down because nothing happens anymore. I only see the Ubuntu logo and the five points below (which are stuck). The NumLock led was not on anymore and no inputs were processed anymore.

I am going to update my BIOS but I don't think that it will help.

Is this a problem caused by ubuntu or grub or the mainboard?

Thank you

Edit: It works now. But honestly I don't know why. Maybe because of the updates of the system....
