reinstalling ubuntu

ok im going to reinstall ubuntu because i messed up on partition i put 20gigs instead of 250 so how do i delete this partition so i can start over and reinstall

Normally I do all the partition handling by a Gparted live CD - but you can choose 'manual partitioning' mode at the beginning of the installation.
I prefer the first because the installation disc sometimes stubbornly refuses to obey to you to wipe out NTFS partitions.

U dont have to delete ubuntu and reinstall. Gparted does the required job.
