Hello everyone. I'm a noob here. I hope you can help me out.

Ok.
My brother no longer uses this computer, and he installed Fedora (as a second OS, the first being Windows XP). My question is if I can erase Fedora and install Ubuntu over it. Is there any way to do that without formating the disk?

During Ubuntu install you can erase Fedora partition and on that place install ubuntu.Mark ubuntu partition as root / and format it as ext4.
