Well, I had read a post about a binary printer driver prompting Stallman to start the free software movement. When I googled, I found a speech from 2001. I've got to say it covered everything I was curious about, and I'm glad I understand a lot of it now.

When I first stumbled upon free software in the 90's, I thought it meant free in terms of cash too, silly me!!!
