Should only take about half an hour or so, but could depend on a lot of things (how fast/big your hard drive is, how fast your internet connection is, etc)

Let's see. I installed 10.10 on my laptop (pretty good specs on it by the way) in about 20+/- minutes. I installed Xubuntu in a 6 year old laptop in about the same amount of time. Anyway, it will probably won't take half/quarter as long as Windows installations. You have nothing to worry about:)

Installing Ubuntu on my computer did not take very long. About 30 minutes at the most I'd say. My computer is about a six year old emachines tower. So I felt it was pretty quick considering the limited processing speed and memory capacity compared to newer computers.

I hope you enjoy your new operating system.
