Ubuntu Lucid.
Using: gnome-screensaver

Is there any way to change the sensitivity that turns off the screensaver and 'restores' the desktop? EG. Putting a glass down on the table does not turn it off (as it does for me). Maybe you can turn off the mouse as a means of stopping the screensaver and require a key to be pressed.

Thanks.

You could reduce mouse sensitivity or create a keyboard shortcut , both can be found on the preferences menu.

Thanks but I tried reducing mouse sensitivity but it didn't help much and anyway I like the mouse settings as I have them which is approx. 33% so it's not like I have them ultra-sensitive or anything. I have a keyboard shortcut already but that does not help if I'm not there and it's still annoying if I am.

Any other ideas anyone?
