View Full Version : [ubuntu] What exactly makes Ubuntu's fonts so good compared to other distros?

AS somebody who does not have the best eyes, but certainly not the worst. Ubuntu(Gnome) and Fedora(Gnome) have by far the clearest and sharpest font production. At work if I use the same gnome font settings with the same font in centos(what we must use at work) it is still awful.


So what exactly makes Ubuntu fonts in gnome so great? I noticed some other distros have tools to make the fonts like Ubuntu fonts(arch does this), But I am not sure what they exactly do.
