Unity Qt top panel dissappeared! How to get back?

Since my video card cannot run Unity (3D), I jumped at the opportunity for Unity Qt but just recently when I logged in the top bar did not appear at all!

How do I get it back? # gnome-panel pulls up the Gnome one but not the Unity one.

Is there any information available on Unity 2D / Unity Qt? Or where should I file a bug report.

I understand it is beta and very risky, but I want to try it since this is my best chance to try Unity, and to provide feedback.
