Hi,
Plucky suggested I start a new thread (see 10359757).
If I go System > Administration > Update Manager, nothing happens. Same goes for Applications > Ubuntu Software Centre. With the latter, it 'thinks about it' for a few seconds (ie. the cursor turns into the 'working' cursor), but then nothing happens.
The same thing happens if I try clicking a .deb file (working cursor, then nothing).
From the command line, apt-get update/ugrade both work (see thread 10359757), it's just the GUI version of update mgr & U.S.C. that don't.
Please read thread 10359757 first. I did do some updates to my machine which may have caused this problem.
