View Full Version : [ubuntu] How to install (-realtime) kernel in Natty 11.04?

Hi.

I recently upgraded from 10.10 to 11.04, and was wondering, how do I install the -realtime (or -rt) kernels for it?

All I could find after a Google search was some -lowlatency optimized for 4GB of RAM.

What I'm looking for is a kernel compatible with the generic (default) kernel, but with the real-time compile options activated.

Is there one?

NM.

I realized that even the lowlatency kernel has no noticable performance increase over the default, and as of now there is no -realtime PPA available for the 2.6.37-12 kernel.

Thanks.
