It's a typical story:
Has Windows 7.
Installs Ubuntu 10 on separate Partition.
Likes it better than windows.
Wants all the space of the Solid State Drive.
Says "ta-hell with Windows".
So, my idea for doing this is as follows:
Boot to PartedMagic (basically gparted) - and then delete the partition that is Windows 7, followed by resizing the Linux partition to take the entirety of the SSD...
The only flaw here is... where the hell is GRUB2 located? I'm scared it's on the Windows partition, and wont boot after I do this. The windows partition IS flagged with "boot" within parted magic, so I'm going to bank on that being the case.
Is there a way to either move GRUB2 beforehand, or reinstall GRUB2 after all hell breaks loose from killing off the windows partition?
Thanks, all help is welcome. Many posts related to this one, but... not quite exact.
