I have a brand new Asus 1001PX netbook and am trying to install Ubantu netbook with wubi on an SD card. The Ubantu Netbook installer page asks for a password. Since I hadn't used a password I left it blank but clicking 'install' gives the message "Please enter a valid password". So then I put a password in win7 admin. and even tried putting the same password in the BIOS in 2 places. Then I get "Passwords don't match". What password is it looking for? Thanks.

Welcome to the forums :-)

It is asking you to create a new password for later access ;-)

Type your new password in the Password field and then re-type it in Confirm Password field.
