As you may or may not know, I've been running 10.10 now for a couple of weeks (clean install.) Everything has been great (other than the one obstacle of making the Nvidia drivers work for my card - now since solved.)
Today, I see a red triangle with an exclamation point in my panel and when I mouse-over it the balloon says:
The update information is outdated. This may be caused by network problems or by a repository that is no longer available. Please update manually by clicking on this icon and then selecting 'Check for updates' and check if some of the listed repositories fail.
When I click on it, Update Manager launches. When I click on "Check" an error pops up with the title "Failed to download repository information." Under "details" it says:
W:Failed to fetch http://dl.google.com/linux/deb/dists/stable/Release Unable to find expected entry non-free/source/Sources in Meta-index file (malformed Release file?)
, E:Some index files failed to download, they have been ignored, or old ones used instead.
What exactly does this mean? Is there a different repository I should be using? Is this one no longer available? It says to "check [my] internet connection," but I'm posting this from my Ubuntu PC so obviously internet connectivity is not an issue.
