Does anyone know if there is a way that I can set a program to always start in workspace #2 when I log in? I have the program currently set to run at startup, so is there something I can add to the 'command' line to force it to start in workspace #2?

I also do not want the default desktop to automatically switch to workspace #2 on startup.

Thanks, but since I am not a computer programmer, this seems like an awful lot of trouble to have to go through to simply avoid two mouse clicks each time I start my computer.

I also tried the gdevilspie but it is not nearly as self explanatory as the Ubuntu page claims. However, I went through that, and as far as I could tell, I set it properly, and it still didn't work.

I set everything as follows.

Here is the fourth screen in gdevilspie.
