i have to face a problem in ubuntu10.04 & 10.10 installation by usb drive on computer which has already installed winxp, problem occure whithin booting,errors display like i/o error and buffer error and mention some script fils error.cause of these error linux is not working on my computer but its proper working on laptop what will be reason behind it.

kindly suggest as soon as what will have to do for successfully installation of linux on my computer.thank you i'm waiting for your solution.

Make sure your USB drive is healthy.

Secondly, check the MD5SUM of the image being used.

If the Sums match, use unetbootin to burn the USB.
