I am setting up a mail server on an Ubuntu 10.04 LTS desktop. I am using the tutorial at http://flurdy.com/docs/postfix/#top to do it, and have followed it (i believe) to the letter. However, when i try to use postfix, this error appears in mail.log

server postfix/smtpd[14270]: NOQUEUE: reject: RCPT from smtp110-mob.biz.mail.gq1.yahoo.com[98.136.185.201]: 554 5.7.1 <smtp110-mob.biz.mail.gq1.yahoo.com[98.136.185.201]>: Client host rejected: Access denied; from=<myemail@yahoo.com> to=<admin@mydomain.com> proto=SMTP helo=<smtp110-mob.biz.mail.gq1.yahoo.com>

and it will not recieve.

My main.cf: (mydomain is replaced by my domain in the file)

Any help would be really appretiated, i have been trying to fix this for months (stupid mistakes on my part better than problem with server). If there is anything neccessary i have omitted, i will gladly post it.

if you want to debug it you better try to do something about two things..
in these lines try with "permit" for all...
then add one by one...

smtpd_helo_restrictions = permit_mynetworks, warn_if_reject reject_non_fqdn_hostname, reject_invalid_hostname, permit
smtpd_sender_restrictions = permit_sasl_authenticated, permit_mynetworks, warn_if_reject reject_non_fqdn_sender, reject_unknown_sender_domain, reject_unauth_pipelining, permit
smtpd_client_restrictions = check_client_access hash:/etc/postfix/rbl_override, reject_rbl_client sbl.spamhaus.org, reject_rbl_client blackholes.easynet.nl, reject_rbl_client dnsbl.njabl.org, permit
smtpd_recipient_restrictions = reject_unauth_pipelining, permit_mynetworks, permit_sasl_authenticated, reject_non_fqdn_recipient, reject_unknown_recipient_domain, reject_unauth_destination, check_client_access hash:/etc/postfix/rbl_override, check_policy_service inet:127.0.0.1:10023, permit

another thing is to remove the amavis from the master.cf..
these are your lines..
you just must check it one by one to make sure what is giving you the stupid thing.

Still the same rejection. Is there potentialy anything wrong with the .cf files in general?

Looking through logs, i found this:

server kernel: [2421718.991189] Shorewall:net2fw:DROP:IN=eth0 OUT= MAC=00:0d:56:20:60:86:00:1e:2a:50:54:5a:08:00 SRC=192.168.1.1 DST=192.168.1.3 LEN=160 TOS=0x00 PREC=0x00 TTL=64 ID=33963 PROTO=UDP SPT=3955 DPT=40116 LEN=140

Could this be the problem? Im not sure how to read it.
