Hello.
I stand before choosing a color laser printer / scanner with built-in printserver.
I need to have a network ocr scanner functionality.

From what I read the smallest problems are with HP and Brother.
HP LaserJet Pro CM1415FN offers only 600x600 dpi. Other producers are significantly more expensive.

So I keep an eye on:
Canon i-SENSYS MF8030Cn
Samsung CLX-3185N

Please, share your experiences with such devices.
Thank you in advance.

They both appear to support linux

OS SupportWindows, Linux, Mac OS

Canon I-Sensys MF8030cn 32bit and 64bit Debian (Ubuntu) Linux Pr (http://www.kickasstorrents.com/canon-i-sensys-mf8030cn-32bit-and-64bit-debian-ubuntu-linux-pr-t4398024.html)

so I would assume you wouldn't have any trouble with either.

I am afraid that the devices only works as a printer.

On your OP you said you were looking at these printers. From the last post, it appears you have one. If you do have one of these try using xsane or simple-scanner

I do not have any. I wrote to Samsung's support, but they have not yet responded.
