i am running ubuntu 10.04 netbook remix, or what passes for it on a acer aspire one D250. i installed wine and installed AVR Studios 4 and it was mostly working, AVR Studios needed XML and wine did not have it by default. i used it for a long time. but i wanted full functionalty and did some reaserch and found i needed to install IE6. i tryed a bunch of things and finaly did get it installed with out ies4linux, but then AVR STudios failed to launch, i click, the wheel spins, then nothing.
i uninstalled AVR Studios, uninstalled wine, then reinstalled, nothing.
uninstalled both again, reinstalled wine 1.3, installed ies4linux, installed AVR Studios, nothing. ran command wineboot to see if i needed to restart the virtual machine, still nothing.
i need this program for work. i dont know a whole lot about linux, so please keep that in mind.
thanks in advance for you help,
