Xorg 1.7.6

I have been having crashing issues with my installation since I started using Ubuntu. The system crashes due to framebuffer issues. Is a fix for this in the works, or are we on our own?

Not sure who 'we' are, do you really think that if you have a bug everyone does? Besides, most of the forum members are not developers, how should they know if some bug is in the works or not? Did you actually file a bug report, and if so, where is the link?

Thanks for answering Mikewhatever. I found the same bug reported to Ubuntu by someone else, so I did not report it myself. I had the same problem with Gentoo, using xorg 1.7.6. I was hoping that ubuntu would update to a later release of xorg soon, where I understand that problem is no more.

If I keep the firefox windows small, it does not seem to crash as often.
