Hello guys, I've got a question.

How can I move the top panel from ubuntu down AND having the activity windows on it. (In other words having just one panel with "applications, places, systems options and also the activity window"

I went to
http://gnome-look.org/

to look for some themes, but I can't seem to find instructions in how to install it on the ones I like. They have a bunch of pictures, and files with code that I don't know what they mean.

Please help.

Right click the top panel. Properties > General > Orientation > Bottom

You will need to add the Window List to it.

Right-click the items on the top panel and select 'move' (you may have to uncheck 'lock to panel' first) and move them to the bottom panel. Then you can right-click the top panel and select 'remove panel'. Or you can remove the bottom panel and select 'properties' in the top panel and change the orientation to bottom. You also might want to replace the 'menu bar' applet with 'main menu' to save space on the new bottom panel.
