hello,

i take my notes in class off of my ubuntu netbook, and it's quite easy. but lately (and this is rather embarrassing, i must admit) i've been using a terminal and nano to take notes, rather than openoffice...because i get distracted easily, my grades have been sort of slipping, because during the lecture, i'm on this site, or something like that. :???: but if i use nano, i pay attention, like a good student

so anyway, is there a way i can type bold text in nano? if i can, that would be perfect :)

thanks,

A normal ascii text file cannot handle ANY formatting, you could put codes around your desired [b ] bold [/b ] and convert them later.
