VLC Freezing in KDE 4.6

Currently, in KDE 4.6 RC2 and lower versions of KDE 4.6, vlc's "open file" dialog freezes and stalls for 1 minute until opening. There are also some other apps experiencing this, i.e. opera.

If your running KDE 4.6 beta/RC, please take some time to test out the freezing and check out https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=260719
and vote for the bug.
