so I was at gnome-look and found a theme that I wanted to install. The filed contained a .gz file and a .tar.bz2 file. My Appearance setting would load the .gz file but not the tar.bz2 file. I extracted the files from the .tar.bz2 file and recompressed it as a a .tar.gz thinking it would help. No, each time I try to drag or install the themes in the Appearance settings it says:

"There was an error installing the selected file
"gtk-2.0" does not appear to be a valid theme."

So far I've only been able to install a fraction of a theme. I am using 10.10, all updated. Please help.
