OpenOffice transferred; now what?

I transferred my OO files, all 2,000+ whew!, into the same folder for my 10.04 (from 9.10).

Is it actually installed now? Do I need to create some startup link or something?

Might need you to elaborate a bit on what you were trying to do?

Ubuntu 10.04 should have had OOo installed by default, and what folder did you copy over?
