HI, I'm posting this in here rather than the software or hardware sections because I'm a noob to Ubuntu.
Basically, I have an old Sound Blaster Audigy 2 model no. SB0400, and I would like to put it in my computer, and I don't have any idea what I need to do pertaining to drivers and the like. I can't find any Linux drivers for the older Creative cards, unlike their newer models. Thanks.

Hey, Scrubz, I'm not an expert but maybe some of these thoughts can help until one happens by.
1.Try the manufacturers website. Maybe email them.
2. Try google search with the (model number OR name) AND (linux OR ubuntu)
3.Turn the computer off. Install the card. Reboot and see what happens. Might be some generic driver already there capable of handling it.
4. Look for a driver in synaptic.

Hey, they may all be dumb ideas, but while you wait for someone who knows what they are talking about you might try them. If your computer explodes and destroys the whole block as a result, it wasn't me that posted this, just some other guy useing my nick, honest. :)
