A tool for navigating graphically from windows to linux

Please recommend me a graphical tool I can use to view the ubuntu file structure from windows

Please note
1. I do not have a dual boot. The linux file stucture is in a virtual machine hosted via vmplayer, so it is more like navigating to a remote computer that I need
2. I mean a GUI interface that lets me navigate the ubuntu box graphically asi if it were by windows explorer. I do not mean something like Putty which I already have and which exposes the ubunntu shell to me

try Total commander. you might need to find & install additional extension.

since you have ssh running already, you may find it best to use something that will run on that protocol. an FTP client like filezilla may be what you're after (remember to connect with sftp://ipaddress and port 22 instead of default ftp:// connection)

or maybe use something like winscp which is more geared towards scp type stuff

Total commander - did not get as far as this, but will test later

filezilla - could not get this working despite following your advice

winscp - this seems to have done the trick
