Hi there. Is there a software that can automatically translate a process modeling language into codes and data? For example, you just need to play with the flowchart and then click on "render" and it becomes a software written in Python?
Sorry if my question sounds a bit naive, but that's why I need more education here, isn't it?:p

Have a look at Visual Paradigm. I found some info on it here (this is a link to a netbeans plugin info page) http://netbeans.org/features/uml/ . It looks as though it will convert UML diagrams to code in a few languages.

I can't say how reliable it is because I have never done it. I think there must be other tools out there to do it because I have heard of it before, but like I say, I have never actually tried anything like this so can't comment on the results.

This software is amazing! But I just want to throw in my concern, does this software mean an end for all programmer's career? If a newbie can play with Illumination, then why have a software programmer at all?

By the way, is there an official name for this type of software? Can I call it "translator" of model to source code?
