I Just installed 10.10 on my Gateway 3040 GZ and everything went prfect exept there is no sound at all. My computer thinks and says everything is working but there is no sound what so ever coming from the speakers. Any segestions would be helpful.

Yay!! I got this one solved on another thread with some help. You download the alsamixer from your synaptic(I think there is only one that should show up), find it on your desk top and turn off the external audio booster in the alsamixer and vooala, sound!!
