How do I run ubuntu 10.10 simultaneously to two screens. One screen is a regular VGA input and the other is connected through an hdmi port. So far I have not found an option to do this.

If you just want multiple monitors, plug them in to your graphics card (obviously you'll need adapters if your card doesn't support hdmi output, etc.) and then you can either set them up in System -> Preferences -> Monitors or your graphics card software suite.

I am not 100% sure about this, as I have never tried it myself, but if you connect to monitors, then boot up Ubuntu, then go to system>preferences>monitors, then click detect monitors (if it hasn't already), then you should be good to go, with one or two more mouse clicks.
