Hi, I have a system with two hard drives, ubuntu 10.10 on the first one (sda) and win7 on the other (sdb). Ubuntu 10.10 was a clean install over a previous ubuntu and with it came grub 2 which when installed didnt see the win7 and it wasnt included in grub. I have been playing with grub to try to get it to first just display an options list on start up (right now it boots right through to hd0,1 ubuntu ext4 fs and setting options in the /etc/default/grub doesnt help) then tell it to allow booting from hd1,1 (the win7 ntfs partition). Im not too experienced with GRUB to begin with and the new one is a bit baffling to me, even reading the docs isnt getting me much results :(
