In Ubuntu 10.10, when you install Windows applications in Wine, often it will mess with the default file associations in Gnome, so that Gnome will call a WINE app to open a file even if there is a native app that will do the job. This is very bad default behaviour by WINE and involves a lot of annoying work to fix. How do I prevent it from ever being able to do this?
