Hi,

I already had win7. I successfully installed Ubuntu 10.10 in another partition (it said so)..
But when i restarted it is directly booting to Win7 without asking which one to boot to..
I deleted the partition earlier then i gave the following
===================
Primary partition
78GB (left 2 GB for swap)
Begining
partition : Ext4
Mount : /
==================
Logical
2 GB
Swap
=================
Grub : i selected where i had the primary partition.

Please guide me as where i have done a mistake...

Thanks for your help in advance..
Magesh

You installed grub to sda3 instead of sda.
If you want to boot using grub to choose which OS you boot you can install grub to the mbr of sda.
